About the position

The Team Driver position at XPO involves working as part of an existing driving team to transport freight over long distances. The role requires compliance with transportation regulations and safe operation of tractor-trailer combinations. Team Drivers will typically work a five-day week with scheduled time off, and they will be compensated for mileage and waiting times during transit.

Responsibilities

• Run loads between XPO facilities for pickup and drop off and collaborate with fellow XPO employees.
• Navigate various routes while maintaining CMV safety and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations.
• Operate various tractor-trailer combinations over long distances during a typical five-day work week away from home.
• Safely operate the vehicle within DOT regulations and internal freight transportation systems.

Requirements

• Must be a member of an existing team, with both members applying for the position.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license.
• Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification Card or ability to pass a company-paid DOT physical.
• Availability to work away from home for a five-day work week.
• Possession of hazardous materials, tank vehicle, and doubles/triples endorsements.
