About the position

The Deepfield IT Systems Co-op position at Nokia is a 4-month internship designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. The role involves implementing automation scripts for Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles, providing IT administration for various SaaS services, and supporting desktop and hardware issues. The co-op will also assist in setting up IT infrastructure for new office locations, contributing to a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement scripting for automation of IAM roles using SAML 2.0 and OAUTH technologies.
  • Provide IT administration for several SaaS services including AWS, AzureAD, and Alibaba Cloud.
  • Onboard and offboard employees as needed.
  • Provide general desktop support and troubleshoot hardware issues.
  • Manage ION/ENG network for Nokia SR series routers and switches.
  • Manage IT inventory effectively.
  • Deploy various technologies including Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, InTune Company Portal, JAMF Connect, and Ubuntu Landscape.
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware from Lenovo, HP, Dell, and Apple across multiple operating systems.
  • Implement IT security concepts and best practices such as SANS, ITIL, and CISSP.
  • Assist in setting up IT/AV network and infrastructure for new office locations.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 2 years completed.
  • Some experience in developing scripting languages; familiarity with Windows Powershell, Bash Scripting, and MacOS Automater is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of MacOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems and troubleshooting.
  • Background in IT systems administration, IT help desk, and TCP/IP LAN technologies.
  • Experience with IT hardware repair and troubleshooting for both Apple and PC hardware vendors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with networking concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with various operating systems including MacOS, Windows 10, and Ubuntu.
