About the position

The Deer Creek X-Ray Back-up Trainer is responsible for providing technical support and leadership in the X-Ray department, ensuring that quality, safety, and production requirements are met. This role involves coaching and training staff on X-Ray techniques, developing training plans, and maintaining accurate training records. The trainer will also conduct audits, evaluate trainee performance, and promote a safe and harassment-free work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and leadership in the X-Ray department.
  • Ensure safety first for all employees.
  • Coach and train others on production X-Ray techniques.
  • Develop and modify training plans to ensure trainee success.
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluate trainee's work.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely training records.
  • Ensure that employees have necessary tools to complete required tasks.
  • Promote process control within the department and take corrective action when needed.
  • Inspect all employee training parts for completion and X-Ray processes.
  • Handle first line performance issues and notify supervision when further action is required.

Requirements

  • Currently working as a Radiographer in Department 089 Deer Creek X-Ray.
  • Must have less than 4 unexcused absences.
  • Must not be on a written step 2 or higher within the last 12 months.
  • Must be in your current role for a minimum of one (1) year.
  • Must be TATS certified prior to training employees or become certified within two (2) weeks of being awarded the position.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient computer skills are a must.
  • Capable of prioritizing work and shift setup in accordance with production requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a group, team, or area leader or trainer.
  • Understanding of Deer Creek system requirements.
  • Demonstrated history of accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrated history of professional conduct with customers.
