Responsibilities
- Stocks shelves and refills displays.
- Loads, unloads, and moves heavy, bulky products; may unload trucks.
- Conditions shelves and products.
- Learns and applies product knowledge, ensuring compliance with rotation dates and shelf information.
- Keeps department clean and well-organized, including back room and shelves.
- Applies personal discipline to ensure compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and company regulations for food safety and sanitation.
- Works efficiently with a team attitude and maintains productivity standards.
- Takes constructive feedback well and applies learning to future tasks.
- May coach or train other Stockers.
- Operates with a team mindset and builds relationships across departments.
- Learns and models customer service and hospitality with customers and store partners.
- Assists customers in locating products and answering product questions.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Experience in stocking and customer service preferred.
- Experience in a physically demanding job is a plus.
- Ability to understand and follow SOPs related to emergency procedures and proper stocking.
- Strong communication skills, including reading and writing.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Customer service skills and a service mentality.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Ability to think on your feet and work with agility.
- Ability to work as part of a team to meet nightly goals.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks with close attention to detail.
- Ability to apply personal discipline to SOPs and leader direction.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
