About the position
The Dishwasher position at Flanigan's is essential for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. This role involves ensuring that all dishware and kitchen utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall hygiene and appearance of the restaurant. The Dishwasher plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff and ensuring a smooth operation during service hours.
Responsibilities
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
- Maintain kitchen area cleanliness; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
- Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
- Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
Requirements
- Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
- Can reach, bend, stoop
- Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- Support fellow employees as needed
- Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
