The Manufacturing Launch Manager plays a crucial role in the successful introduction of new products into the manufacturing process. This position requires collaboration with manufacturing development labs and production teams to create and implement manufacturing source transition plans that align with post-certification product cost and delivery targets. The Manufacturing Launch Manager will lead various projects related to new product introductions, new equipment, layout, and optimization, ensuring that all aspects of the manufacturing process are considered and executed effectively. In this role, the Manufacturing Launch Manager will work closely with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to provide detailed cost and schedule information for the NPI program plan. This includes overseeing the development of manufacturing processes, hardware builds, and identifying risks associated with manufacturing readiness. The manager will also lead cross-functional teams through the NPI Tollgate and Manufacturing Review processes, ensuring that all necessary inputs and strategic plans are in place for new product proposals. As the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) Owner, the Manufacturing Launch Manager will facilitate assessments and drive maturation plans as needed. This position requires the ability to influence the development of strategies within the area of responsibility, including resource control and policy formulation. The manager will interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to enhance products, processes, or services, while also providing innovative solutions to problems that fall outside established parameters. The role may involve leading functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements and complexity, making it essential for the Manufacturing Launch Manager to possess strong leadership and communication skills. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs effectively.
