About the position

Aon is seeking a Defined Benefit Client Service Leader in Norwalk, CT, to lead the delivery of pension administration services to clients. This role involves managing client relationships, overseeing special projects, and mentoring team members while ensuring high-quality service delivery in pension administration.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on special projects such as nonstandard benefit calculations and administrative requests.
• Handle benefit plan administration and management of special projects associated with defined benefit plans.
• Ensure established measures for calculation turnaround and benefit payment entry are met.
• Maintain current knowledge of client-specific plan provisions and defined benefit administration rules.
• Coordinate monthly pension payments with trustees and respond to member calls.
• Act as a role model and mentor for colleagues, providing coaching on plan-specific issues and technical competencies.
• Assist with the setup and testing of proprietary software for new clients according to plan provisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 8+ years of experience in pension and defined benefit plan administration
• Proven project management and client consulting skills
• Strong team management abilities
• Knowledge of pension formula and legal documentation
