About the position

The Defined Benefits Senior Client Success Manager at Alight serves as the primary contact for complex deliverables and new products, providing expert consultation and uncovering revenue growth opportunities by deeply understanding client needs. This role involves managing client relationships, ensuring compliance with defined benefit regulations, and collaborating with internal teams to address legislative changes and strategic discussions with clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on defined benefit regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Consult and present to external executive leaders on plan design, administrative considerations, and legislative landscape.
• Stay informed about market trends, legislative changes, and emerging technologies in the retirement benefits space.
• Utilize expert knowledge of defined benefits to assist clients with complex plan issues and changes.
• Manage in-year revenue growth with a focus on project work and upselling existing scope.
• Ensure adherence to client contracts, preserving contract margins including SLA adherence and E&O negotiations.
• Partner with Oversight & Excellence to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate with Renewal Executives and Client Leaders to prepare for contract renewals, gauging the pulse of key stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in defined benefit plan administration.
• 5+ years of direct experience in client relationship management and project management.
• Ability to work with and influence all areas of the client delivery business across all stakeholders.
• Ability to anticipate client needs based on extensive defined benefit knowledge.
• Effective communication and influencing skills on domain and technical matters.
