About the position

The Degree Audit System Specialist plays a crucial role in the Admissions & Registrar department at Brazosport College. This position involves collaborating with academic departments and advising teams to ensure accurate degree audit templates that facilitate student planning and success. The specialist is responsible for updating degree audit modules, resolving issues with degree audit rules, and providing technical support to the college community regarding the degree audit system.

Responsibilities

• Update degree audit module when new academic catalogs are developed.
• Resolve problems with degree audit rules when issues arise.
• Create new program degree audit templates and maintain updates to program changes.
• Create and maintain Course Catalog information for class sections.
• Serve as the main contact for staff regarding Degree Audit matters in the student information system.
• Validate detailed test cases to ensure software and reports function properly.
• Provide technical and functional support to the college-wide community using the degree audit system.
• Work closely with curriculum forms submitted and approved by the Registrar's Office to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with academic advisors, departments, and college offices to ensure accuracy of degree requirements and resolve degree audit situations.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• At least two (2) years' experience working in student personnel administration in a college setting.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to meet the needs and concerns of college customers.
• Ability to be flexible, creative, and resourceful while meeting deadlines.
