About the position

As a DEI Manager on Uber's IDEA Team, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic initiatives aimed at fostering an inclusive and engaging workplace. Your responsibilities will include creating global roadmaps for diversity hiring, retention, and leadership development, while also coaching business leaders on their roles in promoting diversity and inclusion. This position requires a collaborative mindset and a passion for community-building, with a focus on measurable outcomes and program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Devise and execute the strategy against the OKR's defined by the global IDEA strategy.
  • Create global roadmaps and plans for executing against key strategic priorities.
  • Build working relationships with key stakeholders across People & Places to drive delivery.
  • Design and manage programs to train, transition, and continually develop diverse talent.
  • Leverage global DEI programs and apply them to regional and local contexts for implementation at scale.
  • Report and track regional DEI metrics, building visibility on progress to leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal partners and the IDEA scaled programs team.
  • Create and manage program budgets.
  • Develop, influence, and support an internal network of DEI advocates.
  • Engage externally to benchmark best practices and utilize the latest research in the DEI domain.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in DEI program management.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and passion for DEI and people experience.
  • Good understanding of people processes and best practices; designing and structuring programs and developing metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience driving global-scale projects with multiple partners.
  • Strong cultural awareness and proven ability to work with remote stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6+ years of DEI experience in Recruiting, HR, or related fields.
  • A growth vs fixed mentality as proven by having made big bets or taken some calculated risks.
  • Knowledge and experience in global technology businesses.
