About the position
The Deli Clerk position at Coborn's, Inc. is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service in the deli department. The clerk will engage with guests, prepare food items, and maintain a clean and appealing deli area. This role is ideal for individuals who are friendly, dependable, and eager to learn in a vibrant work environment.
Responsibilities
- Slice, weigh, package, and label meat and cheese products for guests
- Prepare and dish up salads
- Serve food to guests through the hot case
- Ensure the deli case and product areas are stocked and visually appealing
- Prepare meat and cheese trays, veggie trays, and other products for sale
- Follow food safety guidelines and health regulations
- Dish washing, mixing ingredients, assembling catering orders, and baking/frying products as needed
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age; 18 years or older preferred for Hornbacher's locations
- Ability to provide remarkable customer service
- Willingness to learn and engage with guests
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in food service or retail
- Knowledge of food safety practices
