About the position

Sullivan's Foods is seeking a friendly and dependable part-time Deli Clerk to join our Deli team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with guests and creating a fun and friendly atmosphere. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for providing remarkable customer service by engaging with guests, offering product samples, and utilizing suggestive selling techniques. The role involves various tasks including slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling meat and cheese products, preparing salads, and serving food from the hot case. You will also ensure that the deli case and product areas are well-stocked and visually appealing, while adhering to food safety guidelines and health regulations. Additional responsibilities may include dishwashing, mixing ingredients, assembling catering orders, and baking or frying products. Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable customer service to guests.
• Slice, weigh, package, and label meat and cheese products.
• Prepare and dish up salads.
• Serve food to guests through the hot case as applicable.
• Ensure the deli case and product areas are stocked and visually appealing.
• Prepare meat and cheese trays, veggie trays, and other department products for sale.
• Follow food safety guidelines and health regulations.
• Perform dishwashing and mixing ingredients as needed.
• Assemble catering orders and bake/fry products.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn and engage with guests.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in grocery store or deli environment.
• Knowledge of food safety practices.
