The Deli Clerk position at Sprouts Farmers Market involves preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen environment while providing exceptional customer service. The Deli Clerk will be responsible for arranging food items, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining high food safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Prepare fresh and easy meals for customers.
  • Provide high-level customer service in the Deli department.
  • Arrange vegetables and sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches.
  • Assist customers with catering orders and special requests.
  • Maintain food safety standards and manage cleanliness in the work area.
  • Operate slicing, wrapping, and cooking equipment safely.
  • Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
  • Work in different temperature environments, including coolers and freezers.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field preferred.
  • Dependable and reliable work ethic.
  • Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift/carry products weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously.
