Responsibilities

  • Create an uplifting and friendly customer experience through exceptional service.
  • Interview, train, evaluate performance, reward, and coach associates.
  • Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
  • Establish an uplifting work environment that allows associates to feel valued and engaged.
  • Empower associates to create a simple, fresh, and inspired shopping experience for every customer.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities using time efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing information skillfully.
  • Communicate company, department, and job-specific information to associates.
  • Ensure new associates are properly oriented to the department.
  • Support the Customer 1st team and delegate work assignments effectively.
  • Execute on all action plans and daily priorities, including performance goals and best practices.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  • Promote corporate brands to customers and ensure associates are educated.
  • Manage the scheduling of Deli associates to provide adequate department coverage.
  • Provide appropriate, actionable feedback to help teams and individuals grow.
  • Clearly communicate store and department priorities and goals, recognizing progress toward those goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of products to assist associates and customers effectively.
  • Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
  • Monitor and control supply expenses for the department.
  • Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget and conducting profit and loss reviews.
  • Supervise and coach Deli associates in their duties, complete performance reviews, and provide feedback.

Requirements
