About the position
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team at an Italian deli. The role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving deli items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Ideal candidates should have a passion for food and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their orders and answering any questions they may have
- Maintain a clean and organized deli area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Stock shelves and display cases with fresh deli products
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
