About the position

As a Deli Team Member at Wegmans, you will play a crucial role in providing customers with the freshest deli meats and cheeses while ensuring a high level of service. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, fulfilling customer orders, and maintaining appealing deli displays. Your passion for food service and customer interaction will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Complete customer orders by slicing, packaging and labeling products
• Provide incredible service and answer customer questions in a timely manner
• Ensure fresh and appealing deli cases and self-service cases by keeping them cleaned and well-stocked
• Unload and break down daily deliveries, stock cases, displays and backroom coolers with new and existing products/inventory; refill and rotate for freshness

Requirements

• Passion for food service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in food service or retail
• Knowledge of deli products
