About the position

The Delinquency Control Counselor position at TEKsystems involves managing and collecting on past due Consumer Loan and Credit Card accounts for a Fortune 100 Financial Institution. The role focuses on providing financial counseling to members, mitigating losses, and ensuring compliance with government and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Contact delinquent members to cure delinquency using various payment options and loss mitigation tools.
• Obtain and analyze detailed financial information from delinquent members.
• Document members' arrangements, reasons for delinquency, and any offered charge-off alternatives in collection systems.
• Offer short and long-term solutions including repayment plans, promises-to-pay, loan modifications, refinances, personal finance management, and deferral programs.
• Explain and communicate relinquishing options such as settlements.
• Maintain knowledge of federal and state consumer protection laws.

Requirements

• Customer service background.
• Experience with handling high inbound and/or outbound calls.
• Ability to handle multi-database software and systems.
• Experience in Collections, Sales, Insurance, and/or Banking is applicable but not required.
