About the position

As a Delivery Architect at JM Family Enterprises, you will lead the technical aspects of complex projects, focusing on planning and designing robust, scalable, and secure architecture throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive architectural solutions while collaborating with various teams. A significant aspect of this position is the requirement for a weekly onsite presence at the Deerfield Beach headquarters for three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in the analysis, design, documentation, and review of technology solutions that meet the business and IT needs of the organization.
• Provide technical leadership for projects and be accountable for the end-to-end solution and delivery.
• Serve as focal and escalation point for all technical and technical delivery issues on the effort.
• Drive collaboration with stakeholders including ITS teams, technology partners, and vendors to ensure effective communication and alignment on technical deliverables.
• Lead cross-functional technical resources to deliver desired outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise standards, reduction of complexity, and reusability in technical design.
• Lead pre-project consulting and estimation efforts.
• Provide feedback on business requirements, implementation planning, deployment activities, and support transition.
• Work closely with Project Managers and other technology stakeholders to ensure all technical deliverables are properly planned, staffed, tracked, and completed on time and with high quality.
• Accountable for technical delivery for assigned projects (Solution and Data).
• Leverage the current and approved technology portfolio, enterprise architectural standards, and established patterns to create solutions and data designs that deliver the required business capabilities.
• Collaborate with other architects, developers, and engineers to create synergies and drive technology reuse within and across projects.
• Approve detailed technical designs and vendor technical designs to ensure adherence to enterprise standards, reduce complexity, and increase reusability.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced associates.
• Translate highly technical problems in a manner that can be understood in business terms to a variety of audiences including project managers and business executives.
• Drive desired outcomes and decisions through trust and influence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field required.
• Five years of experience with system design artifacts, Mainframe DB2, VSAM files, COBOL programming languages, CICS middleware, and SQL Server required.
• Ten years of application development experience in the automotive, insurance, or financial industry required, including extensive experience and knowledge of software design, application integration, and data integration.
• Experience with creation of reusable architecture patterns that leverage AWS and Azure application services and integrate into Digital Hub.
• Experience in designing and implementing canonical data models, SOA, messaging, and transformation patterns.
• Experience in data integration practices beyond ETL or ELT.
• Experience with architectural patterns utilized for micro-services, event-driven architecture, and domain-driven architecture.
• Experience with the complexities of networks, structured and unstructured databases, systems, security practices, and other infrastructure components in an IT environment.
• Experience with the complexities of DevOps and its best practices as it relates to software and integration design.
• Experience with IT security and governance best practices as it relates to software and infrastructure design.
