Contractors are responsible for assembling large outdoor products and delivering various items to customers' homes, requiring reliable transportation and a qualified helper for most tasks.
Responsibilities
- Choose from various types of delivery and assembly work offered.
- Assemble large outdoor products at customers' homes, such as playsets, pergolas, and gazebos.
- Transport products to job sites, particularly for basketball installations requiring a suitable vehicle.
- Pick up items from local retailers and deliver them to customers' homes, assembling them on-site.
- Ensure compliance with insurance, vehicle registrations, and state laws for the vehicle used.
Requirements
- Must have a sufficient vehicle for the work being performed to go to and from job sites.
- Experience with concrete preferred for basketball installations.
- Must have a reliable helper; two-man teams are required.
- Must own hand and power tools and have the experience and mechanical aptitude to build products to manufacturer specifications.
- Must have an EIN (federal tax ID) which can be obtained for free at irs.gov.
- Background and drug screens are performed on all contractors including helpers.
- MVR checks are performed for all driving contractors.
