About the position

The Delivery and Customer Service Manager at Geneva Rock Products is responsible for leading a team to ensure excellent customer service and efficient delivery operations. This role involves building strong relationships with customers, managing delivery schedules, and overseeing driver performance while ensuring compliance with company policies and union contracts. The manager will also focus on team development, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement within the delivery operations.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a proactive customer service team.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships through site visits and interactions.
• Act as a first responder to customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and service issues with dispatch.
• Review and audit concrete ticket documentation for accuracy.
• Manage driver compliance with required technology and documentation.
• Oversee truck assignments and traffic flow of mixers through the plant.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of trucks, coordinating repairs as needed.
• Maximize driver capability through training and onboarding programs.
• Conduct monthly communication meetings with drivers and address personnel issues.
• Implement continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree or applicable concrete operations training and experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and maintain relationships with vendors and customers.
