About the position
The Domino's Delivery Driver is responsible for providing excellent customer service while safely transporting customers' orders. This part-time role involves assembling, loading, and delivering items while adhering to assigned routes and road safety protocols. The driver must ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and maintain a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Arrive to work on time, in complete uniform with a clean vehicle and a full tank of gas.
- Assemble all items in order, ensuring all extras such as dipping cups and sodas are included in the order.
- Route orders using the Pulse routing program within 1 minute of leaving the store.
- Transport all hot items in proper heat bags and cold items in plastic T bags.
- Drive safely to and from all assigned deliveries, obeying all traffic laws.
- Collect money from customers and provide correct change.
- Collect signatures for credit card and debit card transactions.
- Keep track of cash and receipts, ensuring it balances at the end of the shift.
- Listen to and resolve customer complaints, suggestions, and inquiries.
- Keep the driver area stocked, organized, neat, and clean.
- Assist in keeping box hutch and all other box stocking areas clean and stocked.
- Ensure that heat bags are clean and free of rips and tears.
- Sweep the floor regularly and mop when needed, with mopping required every night.
- Wash dishes when no dishwasher is on shift.
- Help cook food and work in the kitchen when necessary as backup.
- Assist with taking phone, counter, or window orders when needed.
- Perform general store cleaning.
Requirements
- Own reliable transportation that is clean and free of debris.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow a map.
- Pass a Criminal Background check and a Motor Vehicle Record check.
- Texas Certified Food Handlers Certificate required.
- Ability to understand and work with numbers.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow a schedule, be on time, wear proper uniform, and work swiftly.
- Effective communication skills with a variety of clientele.
- 2 years driving experience for anyone age 18, 1 year for age 19+.
- Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Nice-to-haves
- High school diploma or equivalent degree is a plus but not required.
- Prior customer service experience.
