Delivery Driver/Class E

About the position

As a Delivery Driver/Class E at A1 Essential Transport LLC, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of high-end furniture. This part-time, contract position requires strong driving skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. You will report to the Logistics Manager and work primarily one day a week, contributing to the company's commitment to reliable deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and deliver furniture into customers' homes safely, preventing any damages to items and/or customer's homes.
• Safely and efficiently navigate delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries within designated time windows.
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or issues during deliveries.
• Describe delivery experience in notes.
• Follow all safety protocols and team lifting guidelines while handling merchandise and operating delivery equipment at all times.

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting, as this role may involve moving large and heavy items.
• Experience as a helper, courier, or in a similar delivery-related position is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Previous experience working in a (furniture) warehouse or similar environment is beneficial.
• Valid driver's license.
