Delivery Driver/Independent Contractor

About the position

Same Day Med, LLC is seeking delivery couriers to join as independent contractors for healthcare delivery routes. This role involves evening work from Monday to Friday, with opportunities for on-demand work as well. The position requires drivers to use their own vehicles, specifically a full-size SUV or mini-van, and to maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver healthcare items on scheduled routes.
• Ensure timely and safe delivery of packages.
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding delivery status.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Complete necessary documentation for deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (Non-CDL Class C).
• Minimum of 1 year of delivery driver experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) in good standing.
• Ability to obtain 100/300/50 auto liability coverage.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in healthcare logistics or delivery services.
• Familiarity with local routes in Lafayette, LA.
