About the position
As a Delivery Driver at Kansas Fine Wine & Spirits, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer service experience by providing timely and personal delivery of products. This position involves building relationships with customers and maintaining the brand's reputation beyond the store. You will be responsible for ensuring safe and compliant delivery practices while managing inventory and maintaining cleanliness in the delivery vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by greeting and establishing a relationship with customers during deliveries.
- Follow all traffic and safety laws during deliveries.
- Verify ID at the time of delivery to prevent alcohol sales to minors.
- Refuse delivery to minors and intoxicated customers.
- Load, tag, and deliver merchandise to customers who ordered online.
- Distribute inventory to correct locations and pull merchandise from the back room and overheads with visible labels.
- Resolve delivery inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain road safety and cleanliness standards in the company vehicle.
- Complete freight processes, ensuring the sorting area is safe and organized.
- Open and stack cases and merchandise; break down boxes and bale cardboard.
- Ensure signage is correctly placed and build displays and end caps.
- Become familiar with and share knowledge of the product portfolio.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with 3+ years without any major traffic violations and 1+ years without a minor traffic violation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires.
- Experience using technology applicable to the position.
- 1-year experience in delivery, retail sales, merchandising, or inventory management preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude.
- Desire to develop knowledge of products and services.
