The Delivery Driver Lead at CVS Pharmacy Inc. is responsible for overseeing the quality and efficiency of delivery operations. This role serves as a liaison between long-term care facilities and delivery staff, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medications and supplies. The position involves training transport personnel, coordinating schedules, and monitoring workflow to maintain high standards of service.

  • Train all transportation personnel
  • Coordinate work schedules and delivery routes
  • Monitor workflow to analyze patterns and trends
  • Conduct routine staff meetings
  • Respect the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information and property
  • Access only the minimum amount of patient protected health information needed to perform your duties
  • Coordinate all special deliveries with the operations supervisor on duty
  • Maintain vehicles in good and safe condition to comply with DOT, OSHA, state and federal regulations, and Omnicare policies and procedures
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
  • Display behavior which exemplifies employee code of conduct guidelines
  • Ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely
  • Perform physical inventories
  • Sort all baskets from V2 according to facility units, location, and delivery times
  • Scan all medication pending for delivery
  • Prepare manifests and ancillary paperwork to correspond to appropriate nursing facility
  • Retrieve medication totes from PVII pharmacists that are to be scanned for delivery
  • Check bins before delivery departure for missed medications
  • Assist pharmacy floor for additional support during downtime
  • Scan manifests into the system for confirmation of delivery
  • Maintain compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations
  • Maintain highest professional and ethical standards
  • Driver's license in good standing and a clean driving record
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability to use routing software (if applicable)
  • Ability to drive a standard transmission if necessary
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted
  • Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
  • Actively listen and give full attention to what others are saying
  • Ability to use math to solve problems, such as calculating the day's supply of a prescription
  • Ability to judge when something is wrong or likely to go wrong
