About the position

As a part-time Delivery Driver at Spectrum Paint Company Inc, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their paint products safely and efficiently. This position requires you to operate a company vehicle to deliver products to customers, following designated routes and time schedules to guarantee prompt delivery. You will be responsible for loading and unloading the delivery vehicle, preparing orders by mixing or tinting products to meet customer specifications, and accurately identifying and matching paint colors. Additionally, you will assist customers both over the phone and in-store with their orders and inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer service throughout the process. Your responsibilities will also include processing cash and credit card transactions accurately while maintaining a cash drawer. Collaboration with coworkers and management is essential to maintain a smooth workflow, and you may be assigned other duties as needed by management. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing excellent customer service. You will need to be punctual, dependable, and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, as the job involves physical demands such as standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching overhead, gripping, squatting, and lifting products to and from delivery and customer vehicles, as well as within the store and delivery sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers safely and efficiently using a company vehicle.
• Follow designated routes and time schedules to ensure products are delivered promptly.
• Load and unload the delivery vehicle.
• Prepare orders by mixing/tinting products to customer's specifications.
• Accurately identify and match paint colors.
• Assist customers over the phone and in the store with orders and questions.
• Accurately process cash and credit card transactions while properly maintaining a cash drawer.
• Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring that customers are satisfied with the products and services.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must have a Valid Driver's License.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and math skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to distinguish the difference between colors.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
• Prior experience in delivery, retail sales, cashiering, or customer service position is a plus but not required.
• Candidates must be able to pass a background check and MVR check as applicable for the role.
