The Delivery Driver role at Elliott Electric Supply involves supporting warehouse operations by transporting materials over designated routes while ensuring safe vehicle operation. The position emphasizes excellent customer service through prompt and courteous deliveries, as well as maintaining the integrity of the materials being transported.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials over designated routes to support warehouse operations.
• Ensure safe operation of vehicles during deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders.
• Verify that materials loaded on the truck match the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and are secured for transport.
• Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion and verify correctness based on the Ship Ticket.
• Perform daily detailed inspections of the vehicle to ensure maintenance and safety.
• Handle all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for delivery.
• Maintain the warehouse in an orderly fashion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License in state of residence with 3 years driving history.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no type A violation or no more than one type B violation in the past three years.
• Previous experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or more.
• Ability to read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze.
• Ability to function independently and complete various tasks accurately with close attention to detail.
