About the position

The Delivery Driver at Rustic Bakery is responsible for loading and delivering products from the Commissary in Novato to various cafes and customer accounts in Marin County. This part-time role emphasizes safe driving practices, customer service, and adherence to food handling standards, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while representing the company professionally.

Responsibilities

• Loads vehicle for delivery and unloads product at each scheduled location.
• Observes safe driving practices, all traffic laws and posted speed limits.
• Interacts with and provides great service to customers and Rustic Bakery staff in a professional manner.
• Collects required signatures and/or paperwork as needed.
• Returns all required documentation to the appropriate department/employee.
• Complies with established sanitation, personal hygiene, and health department standards for food deliveries and food handling.
• Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance.
• Unloads vehicle after completing all delivery runs and leaves the vehicle in a neat, clean, and satisfactory condition.
• Performs daily van maintenance checks and reports any issues.
• Collects pertinent information if involved in an accident and informs appropriate company official.
• Follows safe working practices.
• Follows all policies, procedures, and uniform standards, leading by example.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Experience with delivery practices and food handling methods.
• Maintains a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Works well with minimal supervision and has strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to follow through and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Ability to work varied days and hours as needed.
