The Delivery Driver at 1-800-Flowers.com plays a crucial role in maintaining the company's positive image by ensuring timely and professional delivery of floral products and emotional messages to recipients. This position involves not only driving but also participating in store maintenance and adhering to operational procedures, especially during peak floral holidays.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to creating a positive store image.
• Follow and obey all traffic laws and regulations.
• Use a map book and proper routing system to efficiently route all deliveries in a timely manner.
• Understand and interpret delivery invoices.
• Accurately obtain signatures for deliveries.
• Understand store operation procedures.
• Understand and perform van maintenance requirements.
• Comply with NO SMOKING inside the delivery vans policy.
• Follow through with all assigned tasks.
• Participate in all routing and deliveries for the major floral holidays.
• Perform store maintenance duties such as basic housekeeping, mopping, sweeping, cleaning, flower care and handling of floral product, product maintenance, garbage removal, loading and unloading when not delivering gifts.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle record.
• Be available for extra hours of employment during the holidays.
