Our passion for creating good food is matched by our commitment to our team, and we are currently seeking a dedicated delivery driver to join our ranks. This role is essential in ensuring that our high-quality products reach our customers in a timely and safe manner. As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for verifying and packing your delivery vehicle, making overnight deliveries to customer locations, and handling deliveries at the receiving departments of grocery stores. This position requires excellent attendance and timeliness, as you will be packaging, loading, transporting, and safely delivering bakery products to various businesses in the Portland metro area using company vehicles. You will also need to review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and completeness, load and unload delivery vans, and maintain a clean driving record while abiding by all transportation laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle delicate food products properly to ensure quality. You will need to be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and have a clean driving record. A valid Oregon Food Handlers card is also required, or you must be able to procure one within 30 days of employment. This part-time position operates five days a week, with shifts typically running from approximately 12:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and there may be opportunities for additional duties to create a full-time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Verify and pack delivery vehicle for overnight deliveries.
- Make overnight deliveries to customer locations and grocery store receiving departments.
- Package, load, transport, and safely deliver bakery products to various businesses in the Portland metro area.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Load, unload, inspect, and drive delivery vans.
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Adhere to all company policies and assigned routes.
Requirements
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to handle delicate food products properly to ensure quality (breads, croissants).
- At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid Oregon Food Handlers card (or ability to procure one within 30 days).
