About the position
The Delivery Driver at Just Food For Dogs is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of pet food products between the warehouse and retail locations. This role requires a passion for animals, particularly dogs and cats, and involves spending significant time driving in traffic while ensuring that deliveries are made efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate should be an independent worker who can follow directions closely and manage delivery logs and reports effectively.
Responsibilities
- Continual lifting, carrying packages, and loading truck with JFFD products
- Follow routes and correct time schedule
- Deliver packages to different addresses throughout the day or week
- Delivering products while following safe driving practices
- Unloading products at the specified delivery location
- Inspect and operate company vehicle
- Confirming all pick-ups / drop-offs in our inventory management system
- Complete logs and reports
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass and maintain background clearance
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Comfort with iPads and inventory management systems
- Comfort with change
