About the position
The Delivery Driver at Misfits Market plays a crucial role in the company's mission to reduce food waste by delivering high-quality groceries directly to customers. This position involves ensuring timely and safe delivery of products while maintaining a positive customer experience. The driver acts as a liaison between the fulfillment centers and customers, embodying the company's core values of customer prioritization and initiative.
Responsibilities
- Complies with all DOT and Misfits Market safety standards at all times.
- Verifies all deliveries in our routing app.
- Delivers customer orders directly to the customer's doorstep with professionalism and care.
- Safely navigates varying weather conditions and hazards throughout the duration of the shift.
- Uses proper lifting form to safely load and unload up to 150 boxes per shift, each weighing up to 50lbs.
- Supports the Packaging Return Program by picking up and documenting customer recycling.
- Supports the overall delivery volume, which may include helping other drivers complete their routes or working overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Possess a valid state issued driver's license for at least 2 years.
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- 2 years of previous delivery driving experience.
- Comfortable operating delivery van in all types of weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime and/or possible weekends if the business needs you to.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to sit, stand, squat, kneel, and bend repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice-to-haves
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
