About the position

The Delivery Driver position at Elliott Electric Supply involves supporting warehouse operations by transporting materials over designated routes while ensuring safe vehicle operation. The role emphasizes excellent customer service through prompt and courteous deliveries, as well as maintaining the integrity of the materials being transported. The driver will also engage in various warehouse functions when not on deliveries, contributing to the overall efficiency of the operations.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials over designated routes safely and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries.
• Ensure that materials loaded on the truck match the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and are secured for transport.
• Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly manner, verifying correctness based on the Ship Ticket.
• Perform daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure maintenance and safety standards are met.
• Engage in warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for delivery.
• Maintain an orderly warehouse environment and perform cycle counting when not on deliveries.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License in state of residence with 3 years driving history.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no type A violation or no more than one type B violation in the past three years.
• Previous experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or more.
• Ability to read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, and analyze information accurately.
• Ability to function independently and complete tasks with attention to detail.
