About the position

Deloitte Consulting LLP's Quality and Risk Management group is seeking a Risk Senior Manager to support deal and contract structuring, drafting customized contractual provisions, and conducting risk reviews and negotiations. This role involves collaborating with various functions to optimize sales and contracting cycles, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and providing ongoing risk management support post-execution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with deal desk and contract review activities.
  • Support sales team with deal and contract structuring, RFI/RFP/Proposals, and contract review.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to manage deal flow and optimize sales and contracting cycles.
  • Review and negotiate agreements such as master agreements, confidentiality agreements, and teaming agreements.
  • Own risk consultation and contracting review of scope of work/SOW documents.
  • Provide guidance on contracting and negotiation strategies.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment through contracting life-cycles.
  • Assist with ongoing contracting, risk management, and mitigation support for SOWs, Change Orders, amendments, and renewals.
  • Facilitate compliance with contractually required policies and processes.
  • Collaborate with different functions to socialize agreement/contractual requirements and business terms.
  • Identify and help mitigate post-signature delivery and engagement risks.
  • Maintain knowledge of core professional services and product offerings.
  • Manage contractual matters and risks independently.
  • Provide mentoring and training to Risk Management colleagues and a broader audience.
  • Support strategic initiatives for developing/updating processes, tools, and templates.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of professional services contracting lifecycle with an emphasis on technology services.
  • Proven track record influencing diverse stakeholders and driving common outcomes.
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to prioritize critical needs and handle complex tasks.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing scope of work documents with a focus on actionable guidance.
  • Proven willingness to listen and learn, making appropriate decisions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry experience in the FSI sector with an understanding of unique risks.
  • Experience in the consulting field or a professional partnership.
  • Experience handling risk issues related to operate and technology agreements, cloud agreements, and software licensing agreements.
