Delivery Material Handler (Laborer)

About the position

The Delivery Material Handler (Laborer) at SPEC Building Materials is responsible for assisting drivers in safely navigating job sites, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring accurate delivery of products. This role requires physical strength and the ability to work in various conditions, including on roofs and uneven surfaces. The position is full-time and offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $18.00.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide driver in entering and exiting the job site in a safe manner
• Assist in manually loading materials to the roof
• Wear fall protection harness and other PPE
• Assist in safely distributing the materials on the roof
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles in yard
• Ensure proper quantities and verify materials before leaving yard
• Filling customer orders for delivery and pick up

Requirements

• The ability to repeatedly lift 100 pounds
• The ability to walk on roofs and other uneven surfaces
• Physically perform the duties that are required for the position
• Pass pre-employment screening
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Provide steady employment history
• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Required)
