About the position

The Delivery Merchandiser (DM) at Buffalo Rock Company plays a crucial role in the Retail Sales team, responsible for selling, delivering, and merchandising a wide range of beverage products. This position requires a Class A CDL and involves servicing assigned accounts, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The DM is expected to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and must adhere to safety regulations while performing their duties.

Responsibilities

  • Service all assigned accounts according to Buffalo Rock Standards and Franchise Policy.
  • Perform specific activities of the assigned route, including selling new products and managing displays.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional customer relationships.
  • Communicate all transshipping activity in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures.
  • Take ownership of assigned accounts to ensure success.
  • Notify supervisor of any changes to existing accounts.
  • Complete all required paperwork according to Company Policy and timeline.
  • Monitor assigned accounts for CDA compliance.
  • Communicate daily with supervisor regarding product shortages and operational items.
  • Achieve required percentage of Strategic Execution Objectives.
  • Execute and achieve all account program key objectives.
  • Properly rotate all products according to company policy.
  • Remove damaged and out-of-date products during account visits.
  • Ensure proper documentation of pallet and CO2 pickups.
  • Assist management in reporting competitive activity and achieving sales goals.
  • Follow all DOT Regulations and company policies regarding truck check-out and check-in.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings and adhere to customer policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid state driver license with a good driving record.
  • Valid state Class A Commercial Driver License (where applicable).
  • D.O.T Certified (where applicable).
  • No prior experience necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles.
