About the position
The Delivery Merchandiser at Yumi Ice Cream Company is responsible for managing an assigned delivery route, providing Direct Store Delivery (DSD) services to various customers including convenience stores and schools. The role involves delivering, merchandising, and unloading products while ensuring accurate product quantities and proper rotation to prevent past-dated items from reaching consumers. The Delivery Merchandiser also communicates effectively with sales managers and customers to manage expectations regarding deliveries and storage.
Responsibilities
- Making route deliveries to convenience stores, grocery stores, schools, and other customers.
- Coordinating stocking and proper merchandising of product in stores.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED equivalent.
- 1 - 3 years of general work experience required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C) with a minimum of 5 years driving experience and a clean driving record with no moving violations over the past 3 years.
- Basic computer skills including the ability to use computer ordering equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.
