About the position

The Delivery Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for delivering parts and products to stores and distribution centers in a safe and efficient manner. This full-time position requires a valid driver's license and emphasizes good customer relations and communication skills. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or distribution center.
• Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on set route, delivering to the appropriate store.
• Maintain daily city route manifest for deliveries.
• Keep fleet/fuel card, vehicle, and keys secure.
• Ensure designated team member at each store verifies all invoices and signs the route manifest.
• Report any delays to the city delivery supervisor and/or stores remaining on route.
• Project a professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations.
• Communicate any problems or special needs from stores to store management.
• Check fluid levels and log mileage prior to operating the vehicle each day.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to the store manager.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day's business.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
