We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Medical Equipment Technicians. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery, setup, and education of home medical equipment for our customers. This includes working in various settings such as patients' homes, long-term care facilities, and clinics, as deemed necessary to provide optimal service to our patients. As a Medical Equipment Technician, you will develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the current home medical equipment (HME) products and services offered by AdaptHealth, as well as all applicable governmental regulations. In addition to these duties, you will process all orders in a timely and accurate manner, promote services and products to referral sources in the community, and develop a basic understanding of reimbursement processes to ensure all necessary documentation is completed for appropriate equipment, products, and services. Driving and maintaining the company vehicle safely is also a key aspect of this role. You will perform patient assessments and re-assessments for patient care, conduct routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required, and report any equipment hazards or product incidents in accordance with company policies. It is essential to retain knowledge of and adhere to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control, and hazardous materials handling.
