About the position

At AdaptHealth, we are dedicated to providing full-service home medical equipment products and services that empower patients to live their best lives outside of the hospital and in the comfort of their homes. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Technician (Driving) who is passionate about making a significant impact on the quality of patients' lives. This role involves processing orders, preparing items for shipment, and receiving incoming inventory. The Warehouse Technician will also be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting returned equipment, maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse, stocking and staging inventory, and ensuring proper inventory maintenance. In this position, the technician will assist the supervisor or manager in pulling and loading equipment for delivery, as well as assembling equipment when necessary. Adherence to confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations is essential. The technician may also be required to deliver equipment to patients and/or facilities, which involves following driving policies and completing necessary driver training. The role includes performing data entry, updating shipping information, and tracking orders. The technician will complete clerical tasks such as faxing, scanning, filing, and making general phone calls. Preparing shipping containers, creating labels, and verifying the contents of outgoing packages against invoices are also key responsibilities. The technician will receive and process incoming shipments, document returned items, and ensure that equipment is cleaned according to established guidelines. Additionally, the technician will monitor inventory levels, communicate stock shortages to the warehouse manager, and ensure compliance with safety and infection control procedures. The role may also involve educating customers on the proper use and care of respiratory and home medical equipment, completing patient visit reports, and performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed. The technician will be expected to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with AdaptHealth's Compliance Program while performing other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Process orders and prepare items for shipment.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as required.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence.
  • Experience in construction, general manual labor, military, or equipment repair is preferred.
  • Senior level requires two years of work-related experience and one year of exact job experience.
