About the position
The Delivery/Warehouse Logistics Lead at Miller's Furniture is a full-time position responsible for overseeing logistics operations, including loading and unloading furniture, customer interactions, and maintaining the warehouse environment. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality service and efficient delivery of handcrafted furniture to customers, while also supporting a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Join logistics team as a senior team lead.
- Interact with customers in a friendly way, positively representing Miller's Furniture in all interactions.
- Use computer systems to receive, transfer, and deliver high-quality, hand-crafted furniture.
- Load/unload furniture for pickup, receive furniture into warehouse, display on showroom, customer in-store pickup, and delivery to customers' homes.
- Drive a delivery truck (no special license required).
- Perform basic store maintenance and appearance.
Requirements
- Delivery driver experience.
- Moving and heavy lifting capabilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Commercial driving experience.
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicles.
- Familiarity with box trucks.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Capable of loading and unloading heavy furniture.
