About the position

As an Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering Summer Scholar, you will play a vital role in a client service team, collaborating directly with clients and Deloitte leaders to tackle complex challenges, enhance performance, and create value across diverse sectors. Your work will involve supporting strategic business transformations through advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, addressing our clients' most intricate issues. Your responsibilities will include developing machine learning models, implementing AI-driven processes, and crafting innovative AI applications to enhance business operations. You will also engage in large-scale data projects aimed at business and IT transformation, design and run data and analytics solutions as part of a DevOps team, and formulate and execute technology strategies that leverage AI and data to meet executive-level business objectives. Responsibilities

  • Develop machine learning models to address client needs.
  • Implement AI-driven processes to enhance business operations.
  • Craft innovative AI applications for various industries.
  • Engage in large-scale data projects for business and IT transformation.
  • Design and run data and analytics solutions as part of a DevOps team.
  • Formulate and execute technology strategies leveraging AI and data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or a related field, completed by Spring/Summer 2026.
  • Experience with data processing and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Informatica, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required, 3.3 cumulative GPA preferred).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment.
