About the position

The DeltaV Systems Engineer at Bristol Myers Squibb is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the DeltaV System at the Bothell Cell Therapy plant. This role involves collaborating with various departments and vendors to understand system requirements, developing solutions, and ensuring systems meet performance and quality standards. The engineer will also provide training, technical support, and stay updated on industry trends in automation technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain DeltaV Systems at the BMS Bothell Cell Therapy plant.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure performance and quality standards are met.
  • Provide training to clients on the use of DeltaV systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in automation technologies.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting services as needed.
  • Design, implement changes, and maintain the DeltaV & OSI PI systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or a Science field or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in process automation systems, preferably DeltaV.
  • Knowledge of S88, S95, and batch processing operations.
  • Understanding of engineering documentation such as P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot control systems from field elements to operator interfaces and databases.
  • Experience with life cycle management of automation systems, including patch scheduling and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Experience with control system networking technologies, PC networking technology, and virtualization preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with SQL, Server, Oracle, or other relational databases preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Visual Basic or other scripting languages preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills including oral, written, and formal presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
