About the position

The Demand-Inventory Planning Manager is a pivotal role within SNF Holding Company, responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to production planning and inventory management. This position plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining an inventory model that enhances the company's ability to meet customer demands effectively. The manager will guide the department in translating business forecasts into comprehensive production and sourcing plans for finished goods. These plans are essential for determining material requirements, which will be communicated to relevant stakeholders. Success in this role hinges on strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with various teams across the organization. In this role, the Demand-Inventory Planning Manager will manage a team tasked with developing an inventory model aimed at improving customer service levels. The manager will maintain planned inventory levels while actively identifying and collaborating with Product Management to mitigate slow-moving inventory. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for creating both short- and long-term plans that directly impact the company's strategic goals and objectives. Monitoring forecasting accuracy is another critical responsibility, as it allows the manager to communicate additional information needs to Product Management effectively. The role also involves tracking asset utilization, including scheduled downtime and asset allocation, while assessing the impacts of product mix on inventory levels. The manager will be expected to create and refine tools that enhance the calculation of material requirements, charting a clear direction for the department, setting achievable goals for the team, and fostering a culture of sustainability and continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a team to develop an inventory model to improve customer service.
  • Maintains planned inventory while identifying and working with Product Management to reduce slow-moving inventory.
  • Responsible for developing short- and long-term plans directly impacting company goals and objectives.
  • Monitors forecasting accuracy to communicate additional information needs to Product Management.
  • Tracks utilization of assets, including scheduled downtime, asset allocation, and impacts due to product mix.
  • Creating and refining tools to better calculate material requirements.
  • Charting a direction for the department, setting goals for the team, and achieving desired results.
  • Developing a culture of sustainability and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or other related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Leadership Skills.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate up, down, and across levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • PowerBI or Tableau Skills are preferred.
