About the position

The Demand Planner Analyst is responsible for developing and reviewing an 18-month rolling forecast using data analytics and visualization tools. This role supports the monthly S&OP process to drive alignment across functions and requires a deep understanding of the supply chain process to achieve optimal forecast accuracy and inventory levels. The position collaborates with Marketing and Production to ensure customer service levels are met and relies on experience, judgment, and analysis to accomplish its goals.

Responsibilities

  • Review the demand forecast using inputs such as sales forecasts, shipment history, and marketing plans.
  • Create insightful analysis using tools such as ORI and Microstrategy, along with SAP, to analyze and validate gathered data.
  • Improve forecasts to better meet customer needs, including the use of statistical forecast models.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to ensure accurate demand signals are reviewed and analyzed.
  • Play a key role in the monthly S&OP process by coordinating information on supply and demand influencing signals.
  • Explain recommendations for changes to others effectively.
  • Analyze key KPIs such as forecast accuracy and forecast bias to drive improvements in demand planning.
  • Engage in supply discussions with production plants to maintain awareness of supply situations.
  • Provide analysis and make recommendations through supply modeling to minimize excess inventory and resolve low stock issues.
  • Contribute to special projects and other supply chain and business strategy initiatives.
  • Provide ad hoc support as required to Planning Manager and Senior Planner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables).
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or healthcare-related industry.
  • Experience with SAP or IBP/APO is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with multicultural partners.
  • Effective decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and inventory practices.
  • Operationally independent and self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
