About the position

The Demand Planner at Incremento, Inc. will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining production and inventory plans to ensure optimal stock levels across various sales channels. This position requires a deep understanding of sales data analysis, demand forecasting, and collaboration with design, production, and sales teams to effectively manage inventory flow. The Demand Planner will be responsible for minimizing excess stock while meeting sales targets, which is essential for the company's success in the apparel industry. In this role, the Demand Planner will analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast demand for upcoming seasons and product lines. They will create and manage sales forecasts for all product categories, ensuring alignment with business goals and market demand. Close collaboration with sales, design, and production teams is necessary to develop accurate and timely demand plans that reflect the needs of the business. The Demand Planner will also be tasked with developing and executing inventory strategies to maintain optimal stock levels. This includes monitoring inventory flow to ensure products are available to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock and backorders. Identifying slow-moving inventory and recommending strategies to optimize stock levels, such as markdowns, promotions, or liquidation, will be part of their responsibilities. Additionally, the Demand Planner will collaborate with the production team to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of products based on demand forecasts and inventory needs. They will coordinate production schedules with suppliers and factories to ensure timely replenishment of inventory and monitor production timelines to identify and mitigate potential delays or disruptions in the supply chain. Reporting and analytics are also key components of this role. The Demand Planner will track and analyze key performance metrics, including sales, inventory turnover, and product lifecycle, to provide insights and recommendations for improving planning and inventory processes. Regular reports on inventory levels, sales performance, and forecast accuracy will be generated to inform key business decisions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, sales, design, and production, is essential to align on seasonal plans, new product launches, and inventory needs. Maintaining open communication with suppliers and vendors to ensure production capacity and timelines are met will also be a critical aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain management, preferably within the apparel industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in planning and forecasting software, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the apparel production process and supply chain operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with FashionGo and Faire.
  • Knowledge of fashion trends, seasonality, and product lifecycle management.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the fashion or apparel industry.
  • N41 ERP knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to speak Korean is a plus.
