About the position

The Worldwide Demand Planner at AppleCare is responsible for managing demand forecasting and planning within the AppleCare business. This role requires a blend of technical, analytical, and project management skills to deliver accurate demand forecasts and support decision-making processes. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively to internal stakeholders, ensuring that the supply chain solutions are cost-effective and meet customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage demand forecasting and planning for the AppleCare business.
• Analyze large datasets to identify significant trends and adjust forecasts accordingly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Planning.
• Complete root cause analyses and develop mitigation plans for unexpected demand changes.
• Standardize deliverables and ensure adherence to commitments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Minimum of 5 years in service, manufacturing, logistics operations, or equivalent.
• Experience in forecasting or planning.
• Adept at merging data from various sources for analysis.
• Expertise in creating reports and analytics dashboards in Tableau.
• Programming skills in SQL and Python or R.

Nice-to-haves

• MS/MBA in Supply Chain or Operations.
• Experience with database technologies like Teradata, Oracle, and MySQL.
