About the position

The Demand Planner at LG Electronics plays a crucial role in ensuring that innovative air conditioning products meet market demands efficiently. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and optimize supply chain processes, thereby contributing to the company's reputation for excellence in the air conditioning industry.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and monitor the movement of shipment through the sales cycle.
  • Determine shipment requirements based on market demand.
  • Coordinate the efficient movement of demand and supply plans.
  • Responsible for business system data input and integrity.
  • Manage PSI plans by SKU/account level and coordinate with the factory to ensure production plans align with the latest demand forecast.
  • Participate in weekly sales and operation planning (S&OP) meetings to review sales performance, forecast accuracy, and resolve issues.
  • Work with the demand planning team for consensus forecast by providing guidance to ensure alignment with business direction and market trends.
  • Communicate with account managers on project pipeline updates, ensuring they are reflected in the PSI plan and registered in the system database.
  • Maintain and evaluate KPIs (forecast accuracy, fill rate, etc.) and analyze variances, initiating appropriate corrective action.
  • Share changes in supply plan, NPI/EOL schedules with the sales team and proactively resolve supply issues.
  • Complete complex topic-specific reports to meet ongoing needs, including various inventory reports and reconciliation of forecast versus actual.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • 3+ years of relevant corporate work experience.
  • Critical thinking skills and reporting skills to business leaders.
  • Strong planning skills for creating reports for business leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills and collaborative problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills both internally (Sales, SCM, PM, and order management) and with external customers.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office products, with preferred experience in SAP/ERP system, Tableau, Salesforce, and Advanced Excel.
  • Experience in cross-functional teams to work effectively in a highly demanding work environment.
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Korean.
