About the position

As a Demand Planner at LG Electronics, you will play a crucial role in managing the sales of LG Compressor and Motors by analyzing customer forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels. This position is located in our Alpharetta, GA office and requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and forecasting. You will be responsible for managing weekly forecasting data, sales, inventory, shipments, and the overall product life cycle. Your contributions will directly impact our mission to create a better life for our customers by ensuring that our products are available when and where they are needed. In this role, you will create reports for various departments and leaders, providing insights that guide decision-making. Collaboration with the Sales team, particularly the Sales Director and Key Account Managers, will be essential as you plan sales and provide guidance on inventory management. You will manage PSI plans at the SKU/account level and coordinate with headquarters and factories to align production plans with the latest demand forecasts. You will also evaluate and maintain key performance indicators within the supply chain, such as Moving Plan Achievement and Forecast Accuracy, and analyze variances to initiate corrective actions. Utilizing GDMi and GSCP systems, you will generate factory production plans and update commitments to the sales team, ensuring that any changes in supply plans or schedules are communicated effectively. Participation in cross-functional efforts to enhance supply chain operations, order management, and fulfillment activities will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will attend weekly sales and operation planning meetings to review sales forecasts and performance, resolving issues to achieve moving plan targets. Additionally, you will review customer orders to ensure proper shipping windows and work with logistics to maximize delivery efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Create reports for various departments and leaders.
  • Work with the Sales team, especially Sales Director and Key Account Managers to plan sales by providing guidance.
  • Manage PSI plans by SKU/account level and coordinate with HQ/factory to ensure production plans are aligned with the latest demand forecast.
  • Evaluate and maintain supply chain key performance indicators (ex: Moving Plan Achievement, Forecast Accuracy, DIO, Long-Term Inventory rate) and analyze variances initiating appropriate corrective action.
  • Utilize GDMi & GSCP systems to generate factory production plans and update commitments to the sales team.
  • Communicate changes in supply plans, NPI/EOL schedules to the sales team and proactively resolve supply issues.
  • Participate in cross-functional efforts to enhance supply chain, order management and fulfillment activities.
  • Participate in weekly sales and operation planning (S&OP) meetings to review sales, forecast, and sell-through performance and resolve issues to achieve weekly/monthly moving plan targets.
  • Review customer orders for proper shipping windows and delivery appointments, working with order desk, logistics, and load planners to ensure maximum efficiencies for on-time/right-quantity delivery.
  • Plan, schedule and monitor all supply chain activities for key accounts and analyze sales forecasting and planning processes for key customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant corporate work experience
  • Critical thinking skills and reporting skills to business leaders
  • Strong planning skills for creating reports for business leaders
  • Strong analytical skills and collaborative problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills both internally (Sales, SCM, PM, and order management) and externally with customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel at a high level
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams in a highly demanding work environment
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Korean are required
