About the position

The Demand Planner - Direct Source role at Eaton involves preparing a mid to long-term consensus demand plan that aligns sales and marketing forecasts with purchasing strategies. The position aims to meet customer expectations while minimizing inventory investment and maximizing growth opportunities. The successful candidate will manage the demand planning process, coordinate with various teams, and ensure effective communication of demand plan outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and manage monthly Product Line for the Demand cycle of the Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning (SIOP) process.
• Prepare a robust mid to long term (18-24 months) demand plan consisting of a statistical baseline forecast, reviewed and qualitatively adjusted.
• Collect and incorporate customer forecasts and historical demand information into forecasting database tools.
• Present demand plan outputs in the relevant SIOP Demand Reviews.
• Manage and Monitor Demand Planning KPIs, including Forecast Accuracy and Bias at multiple product levels.
• Review purchasing requisitions and issue purchase orders to internal and external suppliers.
• Manage purchase orders to satisfy customer requirements and support business objectives.
• Communicate/coordinate with distribution centers and logistics providers for shipment coordination.
• Manage supplier invoice holds for timely resolution.
• Develop stock/nonstock classification recommendations and re-order point analyses.
• Maintain finished good inventory levels at distribution centers to maximize customer service while minimizing inventory investment.
• Provide support for the phase-in of new products and phase-out of obsolete products.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in demand or supply planning, Purchasing, SIOP, or customer service.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in a Technical Discipline from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in VISTA order management, MAPICS or other ERP system, Demantra or other forecasting system, and use of Power BI.
